After my session with Madison<\/a>, I headed up to visit my cousin Jennifer and her kids, Olivia and Ethan. When I am in town, I like to make the most of it! We had a great time and spent a lot of it playing, rolling around on the ground, and having a great time in the fall leaves. Olivia didn’t warm up to the camera at first, but after a little while I think she might have even enjoyed it a bit. <\/p>\n

Sometimes to get kids to warm up and relax and forget about the camera, I suggest we just run and play for a little while. I’ll shoot with a medium telephoto lens and just let kids do their thing. Sometimes I get the best pictures that way:<\/p>\n

The whole family, Olivia, Earl, Jennifer and Ethan. This is the closest we got to having everyone sit still and looking at the camera \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We did a lot of playing on the slide in the backyard<\/p>\n

After we were all finished, Olivia insisted I take pictures of many of her toys, including this dinosaur. This one cracked me up – I love her expression!<\/p>\n
